1
I am a sheep. I’m kind of scruffy.
2
I need a Shepherd.
3
We are all kind of scruffy sheep.
4
Jesus is my Shepherd.
5
My Shepherd helps me in good times.
8
My Shepherd helps me in bad times.
11
My shepherd loves me.
12
David wrote a Psalm about Jesus as our Shepherd.
13
Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd,
14
I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,
15
He leads me beside quiet waters,
16
He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
17
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
18
For you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
19
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
20
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
21
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
22
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
23
God’s goodness and love will not end when we die. God says we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. That means heaven. (John 14:2) I am going to prepare a place for you.
24
We really don’t know what heaven looks like, but we know it is fabulous!
25
Maybe this is more your style?
26
Or maybe this one? Heaven will be better!
28
Sing with me…I am Jesus Little Lamb.
29
I am Jesus little lamb; Ever glad at heart I am,
30
For my shepherd gently guides me, Knows my needs and well provides me,
31
Loves me ev’ry day the same, Even calls me by my name.
32
Day by day, at home, away, Jesus is my staff and stay. When I hunger Jesus feeds me, into pleasant pastures leads me;
33
When I thirst, He bids me go where the quiet waters flow.
34
Who so happy as I am, Even now the Shepherd’s lamb?
35
And when my short life is ended, By His angel hosts attended, He shall fold me to His breast, There within His arms to rest.
