6 GIST Gifts & Deselection Manager GIST is also used to streamline Gift Management and evaluate collections; in roughly 13 months, we processed over 4K donated books and DVDs, accepting about 700 items or roughly $49K worth of acquisitions. This helps – we borrow thousands of books, yet Milne has also doubled the number of purchased books in the last couple of years. GIST can also be used to evaluate the duplication of collections and check for full text options.. GIST tools are distributed to libraries through the IDS Project.
