1 The 4 Seasons Audience: 2nd Grade

2 What Is A Season? A season is one of 4 divisions of a year. Each season has characteristic weather conditions, and activities that we do during them. The names of the 4 seasons are: Winter Spring Summer Fall

3 What are some of the characteristics of Winter?
The weather is cold with lots of snow and rain. Winter weather is good for snow activities. The vegetation is covered with snow and looks very beautiful.

4 What are some of the characteristics of Spring?
Spring is after Winter. The weather is warming up. The sun is coming out again. Spring weather is good for picnics and bike rides. Because the weather has been rainy and wet, when the sun comes out in Spring, All of the vegetation “springs” to life!

5 What are some of the characteristics of Summer?
The weather is sunny & hot with blue skies. Hot Summer weather is perfect for swimming. Because it is so hot, the vegetation gets brown and dry.

6 What are some characteristics of the Fall?
Fall occurs after Summer & before Winter. The weather is getting cool & crisp Fall weather is good for hiking. The world looks beautiful in the fall. Since the weather is cooler, the vegetation is preparing to hibernate. Leaves change colors, and “fall” to the floor. Soon it will be Winter again.
