1. PS500B/800B Battery Replacement Procedure

2. 1.Remove the two screws at the bottom of the front panel. 2.Push down then remove the front panel.

3. 3.Remove the four screws of the battery retaining plate. 4.Pull out the batteries.

4. 5. Disconnect the red wire connecting the battery pack to the UPS. 6. Disconnect the black wire connecting the battery pack to the UPS and the short black wire between the two batteries.

5. 7. Install the new batteries, making sure that the red wire is connected to the red battery terminal of the first battery and the black wire to the black battery terminal of the second battery. Use the short black wire to complete the connection between the two batteries.

6. 8. Push the new battery pack into place. 9. Reposition the battery retaining plate and tighten the four screws. 10. Put back the front panel.
