Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 5:23 Are you absolutely sure that you are a part of the Church that Christ built? The safest way to know absolutely sure that you are a part of the Church that Christ built is to be a part of a church which teaches and behaves like the NT church. Attempts to be a part of the Church which Christ built

3 Christ is in charge. Revelation 17:14; Ephesians 1:22 Many people wear the name “Christian” and claim Jesus as their Lord but do not behave like it. Luke 6:46 This is a lesson in authority. Colossians 3:17; John 14:15; Matthew 28:18-20 Why is authority so important? Matthew 7:21; Matthew 7:13-14 Allows Christ to be in total control of their life.

4 Two facts: God’s word should guide us. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Our soul is extremely important. Matthew 16:26 Because our souls are so precious, we better make sure we stick closely to God’s word. Add in passages like Revelation 22:18-19 A conservative approach to Christianity demands obedience even if we don’t understand or agree. Commands Examples Sticks closely to God’s word and doesn’t take any chances with their soul.
