Welcome to Product Workshop 2008!

The Indication Group Panel Meters Large Displays Sensors Temperature Controllers Signal Conditioners

The Indication Group Panel Meters –CUB5 Panel Meter Series Dual Count/Batch/Rate, Time, DC Current, DC Voltage, Process, Thermocouple and RTD –New PAX Lite Models Dual Count/Batch/Rate, Analog, and Temperature

The Indication Group Large Displays –LD Series Dual Count/Batch/Rate, Time, DC Current, DC Voltage, Process and Slave Display

The Indication Group Sensors –Complete Line of Temperature Sensors –New Encoder Models Added

Customer Application Customer has a thermocouple measuring bearing temperature on a critical piece of equipment. He would like to feed the temperature back to his PLC for data collection. There is a 0 to 10 VDC input card available on the PLC. The temperature of 0 to 100° would be scaled to the 0 to 10 VDC. Would like an alarm, if the temperature exceeds a 85°. A local display is not required for this application.

Application Breakdown Has a J Type Thermocouple input Requires a 0 –10 VDC output, that represents 0 to 100 ° Requires an alarm output at 85 ° A display is not required

Potential Solutions  PAXT with analog and relay card  DLC with analog output  Or the new IAMS

What is an IAMS?

Three Models Available Retransmitted Analog Output (IAMS0001) Setpoint Outputs (IAMS0010) Both Analog and Setpoints (IAMS0011)

IAMS Highlights Universal Input (DC current, DC voltage, TC, RTD, potentiometer, linear resistance) Universal Power Supply (AC or DC) Analog Output Dual Setpoint Outputs 3-Way Isolation (power/signal/output) Programs in seven different languages ( English, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, French)

Truly Universal

Hold on! The customer has just changed their mind. Hold on!

The customer would now like to have a display. They also need to be able to communicate the display information to some additional equipment via RS485. Redundant control of the temperature setpoint would not be a bad idea. They would also like the solution to be mounted on a DIN rail. New Requirements

Application Breakdown Need a display Wants to communicate via RS485 Requires an alarm output at 85 ° DIN rail mountable

Potential Solutions  PAXP with relay card and DIN Mount  CUB5P with relay card and DIN Mount
