8. Scrafito In an upcoming assignment we will be making hard slab boxes. These boxes will be decorated with a technique called scrafito. In this technique we paint engobe (a colored clay slip) over the clay and then scratching through to the white clay. Our engobe colors are black, blue, reddish brown, green and yellow

9. Homework Your homework assignment is to design the pattern you plan to scratch into your box. The design will cover all four sides of the box and the lid. The sides of the box will be 6 inches wide by eight inches tall. The lid will be six inches square. I will have a template for you at school but if you forget you can make your own at home with these measurements.
