CUSD/CEHS Credit Requirements 240 Available credits for students who attend CEHS four years Students must complete 95% of CEHS available credits 230 credits are required for graduation

UC/CSU Eligibile Our goal is for all CEHS to become UC/CSU eligible! –C–C–C–CSU = Fresno State, San Diego State, etc. –U–U–U–UC = UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Merced, etc Course requirements are called “A-G” requirements. What is a (P) course? (P) designation for a college prep course.

Core (9 th and 10 th ) –2 years elective P.E. (11 th and 12 th) *Jr’s/Sr’s who attend CART waive P.E.

Taking the SAT/ACT Take the PSAT in the Fall of Sophomore Year Take the SAT and/or ACT during the spring of your Junior year. With a CSU/UC GPA of 3.0, CSU will take any score on the SAT/ACT. This is based on Admissions Availability

CA High School Exit Exam Required to earn a diploma in the state of California English/Language Arts test – minimum score 350 Math test – covers Algebra 1 and some Geometry, minimum score of 350 First opportunity is during the spring of your Sophomore year

What can I do NOW to be successful in High School? Be at school! Have a plan for graduation! Today is your first step. Get involved! Do something more than just come to school everyday! Be organized! Use a planner, take good Cornell notes and review them every day.

What can I do NOW to be successful in High School? Get to know your teachers BEFORE you have a problem! Meet with them regularly. Homework counts! Ask for help! Even if you don’t know who to ask, start somewhere. Meet with your counselor every year!
