OT CODE OF ETHICS o Beneficence-Concern for the well-being of the recipient o Non-maleficence-”Do no Harm” o Autonomy, Privacy and Confidentiality-always respect the child, family and caregivers privacy and rights o Duties-using “Best Practice” and being highly competent professionals o Justice-OT professionals shall comply with laws and Association policies guiding the profession o Veracity-truthfulness and accuracy o Fidelity-treat colleagues and other professionals with fairness, discretion and integrity

Play is a primary occupation of childhood. Play is the medium through which children expand their knowledge base, become socialized, practice roles, reflect their culture, and expand cognition. Play includes exploration and interaction. Play is fun!
