International Telecommunication Union Current status of TTC’s IPR handling IPR as Industrial Property Right is being handled. Trademark not handled. Only the copyright of TTC Standards and Specifications considered, not other types of documents. IPR Policy specifies basic principles. (TTC Board of Directors approves and publishes IPR Policy.) Operation Procedures specify detailed procedures regarding IPR Statements and their maintenance, including IPRs owned by non-members. (IPR Committee approves and publishes Operation Procedures.) International Telecommunication Union Outline of the revision of operation procedures in Dec. 2007 Almost all changes are editorial improvements. Reviewed the structure and order of chapters. Basically maintained, however enhanced the non-member's chapters for clarification. International Telecommunication Union Alignment with ITU-T patent guidelines in 2010 and 2011 Patent statements with different options per patent claim (June 2010) TTC has completed draft enhancements Further enhancements to the patent statement and licensing declaration form Contribution submitted to the ITU-T adhoc Group on IPR (Dec 2011) to clarify how to interpret the declaration with/without patent information, and to propose additional information to be added in the form. International Telecommunication Union Discussions on Software Copyright in Standards TTC is following up the discussions on revisions of the software copyright guidelines in ITU-T Contribution submitted to the ITU-T adhoc Group on IPR (Dec 2011) to assure the attached software provided to SDOs TTC is also noting the other SDO’s discussions and treatment on the matter.
