Russia is located in Northern Asia. It is bordering the Arctic Ocean, between Europe and North Pacific Ocean. The latitude is 60 degrees North, 100 degrees East. It has a total of 17,098,242 square miles.

The lowest elevation point is in Caspian Sea -28 m. The highest elevation point is in Gora El’brus 5,633 m. There is volcanic activity in the Kuril Island. Volcanoes & earthquakes Kamchatka Peninsula. There is spring floods and forest fires.

There is air pollution from heavy industries. There are emissions from coal fired electrical plants. There is soil contamination from agricultural chemicals. There is ground water contamination from toxic waste.

Russia exports petroleum, natural gases, metals, wood and wood products. Russia exports to the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, China, Turkey and Ukraine. Russia imports machinery, vehicles, plastic, semi-finished metal products, fruits and medical instrument.
