Cocktail Cooler Energy Conversions The mass has potential energy which converts into kinetic energy when it’s released The catapult transfers the kinetic energy in the mass into kinetic energy for the projectile. A collision occurs when the projectile hits the target which transfers the kinetic energy to the bottle. The liquid inside is emptied and takes on the form of kinetic energy down the funnel and out the other end of the tube.

6. Conclusions Energy conversions are cool but having a cold drink is a lot cooler! Duct tape can be used for everything. Don’t drink the liquid out of our cooler and then drive. It is easier to hit a larger target.
