Why it should be on the World Heritage list. 1.The MCG can hold over 100,000 people in the stadium which means lots of people can visit the G. 2.They hold lots of sporting events there for e.g. the AFL grand final or the Olympic games. 3.Lots of famous people have been to the MCG such as Tom Jones, Don Bradman and Steve Hooker. 4.It is encouraging people to join into sport.

3. How it encourages people  The MCG is an iconic Australian building.  It holds a lot of sport which makes people want to go there.  It is also in one of the biggest cities in Australia.

4. It fits the criteria  Monuments: it has statues that represent the great people that have played at the MCG, they also have pictures inside the stadium.  Groups of buildings: it is right in the central of Melbourne.  Sites: The MCG was built on the 13 th of September 1853 by approximately 700 people.

5. That is why the MCG should be on the world heritage list!!!!!
