CSEE Student Research Conference Prof. R. Scott Cost IAB Presentation May 10, 2002

Overview The CSEE Student Research Conference is a student run event in which graduate and undergraduate students have the opportunity to present and discuss ongoing work of any sort with their peers, faculty, and representatives from local industry.

Origin CMSC 691B: Engineering Multi-Agent Systems, Fall 2001 End of semester event Presentation of project papers, in conference setting Poster session and demonstrations, open to department

Goals Give students the experience of organizing and running a research conference Give students a forum for presenting and discussing work, and foster more interaction Provide a showcase in which to exhibit current areas of research in the department

Procedure Faculty advisor fills required positions with student volunteers Students meet weekly with advisor to plan event Papers solicited Papers reviewed Revisions requested End of semester presentations/poster session
