4. Yucca Mountain The Yucca Mountain is in Nevada near Las Vegas metropolitan area. It is used to store nuclear waste which was declared in 1987.

5. Advantages of Nuclear Energy 1. Nuclear plants generate a lot more energy then other sources. 2. No Co2 emissions. 3. Only a small amount of uranium needed. 4. Very inexpensive. 5. High amounts of energy from just one plant.

6. Disadvantages Of Nuclear Energy Nuclear energy can be used for destructive purposes. The use of a large amount of energy from the power plant can be costly. The waste from the fission contains dangerous elements and are radioactive. Waste cannot be disposed of properly. Not renewable.

7. Chernobyl Chernobyl is located in the Ukraine (USSR back then) On April 26 1986, one of the Chernobyl plants exploded. Killed 10,000.

8. Three Mile Three Mile island is a nuclear power plant that is located in the Susquehanna River, south of Harrisburg PA. The nuclear core in the plant had a partial meltdown and caused radioactive gas to go into the air.
