LEARNING OBJECTIVES DESCRIBE PLACES WITH THE USE OF KEY WORDS.

WHAT ARE KEY WORDS? KEY WORDS THAT ARE USED TO DESCRIBE A PLACE OR SOMETHING THAT IS IN A PLACE. YOUR TASK IS TO COMPLETE A PARAGRAPH DESCRIBING WHAT THE CLASSROOM LOOKS LIKE USING KEY WORDS. REMEMBER A KEY WORD IS SOMETHING THAT DESCRIBES A FEATURE. BEFORE YOU START THE TASK WE WILL GO THROUGH THE FOLLOWING EXAMPLE

EXAMPLE OF USING KEY WORDS TO DESCRIBE SOMEWHERE AT THE FRONT OF MY LIVING ROOM THERE IS A FIREPLACE. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM THERE IS A COFFEE TABLE WITH TWO SOFAS FACING OPPOSITE EACH OTHER. THERE IS A TELEVISION IN THE CORNER AND AT THE TOP OF THE ROOM THERE IS A ROUND GLASS DINING TABLE WITH FOUR WHITE CHAIRS. ON THE WALL THE IS A LARGE PAINTING AND ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE THERE IS A SILVER CLOCK

ACTIVITY You must now write you own description of the classroom using key/descriptive words. Once you have written your paragraph you must underline each key/descriptive word. Extension – write a paragraph explaining a room in your own home. Try and use a home with lots of features as this will make nit easier for you.
