1 Direct burial cable, up to 24 individual fibers, reinforced.

2 Direct Burial Cable. Reinforced, flexible, up to 24 fibers per cable. Final leg to the home/ apartment building, terminated in small box inside the building. Two fibers from box to each apartment.

3 Front door of apartment building. Direct Burial cable is fed into the apartment through a hole of 20 mm in foundation or wall.

4 Start of process: The pavement is removed for a trench of 25 cm wide, the fiber cables are prepared

5 Digging the trench

6 Immediately after digging the trench. The cables and ducts can be put into the trench directly after digging.

7 Laying the cables. Yellow cables: direct burial for individual point-to-point connection to the apartments. Blue tube is high density fiber cable, from underground hand hole (connection to individual fibers in yellow cable) to local switch house. Covered with foil for protection and separation/ identification.

9 Mid afternoon: Filling up the trench, compacting the sand

10 Cleaning up and compacting the dirt

11 End of the day: the sand has been compacted, cleaned up, ready for restoring the pavement

12 Second day: restoring the pavement
