For my product I shadowed Mrs. Sharon Braswell and volunteered at my mothers job. Nathan Lee

I chose my topic because I wanted to be pharmacist and after getting my degree I wanted to get my MBA. I am also very interested in technology and this would be very beneficial to me for later on in life.

Main street, Kansas pharmacist only made 68,000 dollars in 2011. Chain average was just over 110, 000 dollars. Rite Aid in Clayton has an inventory worth $1,287,420 dollars as of 12/12/12

Script Pro 200 fills 150 prescriptions an hour and dispenses 56 different medications. Pharmacists can only fill about 50 per hour. RACS is an integrated system that allows pharmacists to check for drug interactions. Every computer has a fingerprint scanner that you have to scan before filling or delivering a prescription.

Techs save the pharmacists time, by doing simple tasks and refilling bottles. Machines save time but techs have to keep it maintained and be knowledgeable in doing this. This year, pharmacists and techs are having to go back to school to learn to administer flu shots. Make more money. Wellness Ambassador.

Technology drastically affects the pharmaceutical field and more specifically; is a huge factor for small town pharmacies.

HIPAA doesn’t allow a lot of information to be available to the public. Numbers don’t describe interactions with people. Having to revise my paper.

My mentor was very helpful Learned a lot about computers and how they work. Behind the scenes view of things.

My research paper was about technology being used in pharmacies and I decided to shadow a pharmacist and her staff several times to see technology in action and see it affecting the workers and the customers. I also volunteered at my mothers job because she works in a lab that handles medicine and technology is the biggest factor in her workplace.

I learned that I am good at meeting new people and am good under pressure. I procrastinate and have a serious problem with it. I do like to research new things and like to volunteer.

The Graduation was actually a good thing and taught me: Time management How to work with new people Produce a product This will help me in college and throughout life and my future in business.
