12. - Highest level of the rainforest - Only the tallest trees reach this level, they can grow up to 200 feet tall - Since it is so high up, there is lots of sunlight for the trees - These trees do not grow closely together, they have lots of room to spread out

17. - 2 nd level of the rainforest - These trees can grow from 100-150 feet tall - The canopy layer acts like an umbrella it stops sunlight and rain from reaching the lower levels - This is the most diverse layerdiverse

22. - 3 rd layer of the rainforest - This layer is dark and humid - There are lots of vines and vegetationvegetation at this level - There is not very much light at this level - Plants in this layer are usually under 12 feet tall

29. - Bottom layer of the rainforest - This layer only gets 1-2% of the sunlight that the upper layer gets - There is very little plant life this far down - It is full of dead leaves and plants - The rainforest floor is very humid
