ASF Satellite Tracking ASF currently operates two independent tracking systems, –Scientific Atlanta 10m X-band/S-band tracker, installed to support ERS-1, JERS, and Radarsat acquisitions –Scientific Atlanta 11.24m X-band/S-band tracker, installed to support ADEOS
4
ASF Host Controller ASF utilizes an ASF-designed and built tape recorder management system –schedules tape resources for both tracking systems –manages High Density Digital Recorders (HDDRs) before, during, and after acquisitions –generates all required metadata for flight agency and ASF internal processing –permits simultaneous tracker operation, with best utilization of HDDR resources
5
ASF Receiving Ground Station The ASF Receiving Ground System incorporates a tracker scheduling element, which de-conflicts multi-mission requirements, and generates conflict-free schedules for each ASF tracking system
