Skills Victoria Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development Practical Placement Applies to non apprentice/ trainee TAFE students undertaking accredited courses in which work placement forms part of the structured workplace learning Provided for under ETRA Requires an agreement between RTO, employer and learner and the payment of a minimum of $5 per day from the employer to the learner – thus creating an employer/ employee relationship for Workcover purposes Backup insurance coverage via RTO and DEECD.
