7 The Road to Launch! Launch Guest Ops Planning Working with NASA and NOAA/NESDIS to organize all launch guest operations to include: – Guest invitations: process will start ~6 months prior to launch – Guest information packages – Exhibits – Guest briefings and VVIP briefings – Tours – Launch viewing sites and guest transportation OSB II – VVIP guests (400 maximum) Banana Creek – VIP guests (3,500 maximum) NASA Causeway – VIP guests Turn Basin – Employee car passes KARS Park - Public launch viewing site. Non-KARS members charged $5.00 per car. Stay tuned for more information as we proceed to launch

8 Post-Launch Testing & Validation Launch and orbit raising: 12 days Level 1b products will be validated during Post Launch Test (six months) and will be available through GOES-R Rebroadcast (GRB) service as products are certified Level 2+ product certification begins after L1b products and will be distributed on a product-by-product basis as they mature GOES-16 extended validation: Sept 2016 – March 2017 GOES-16 operational: March 2017 at TBD orbit location
