This is the title of my presentation, by John David 4 Girl Scout Robot Workshops All of the 24 girls at the Nov 2006 workshop said they enjoyed the robot workshop –They loved programming robots through different courses –Some teams made their robots dance –Some teams played “bumper cars” –The undergrad mentors have fun as well! Quote from parent –Thanks for a great workshop. Becca, Jenny and Brittany really seemed to enjoy it and they now want to start a competition team!

This is the title of my presentation, by John David 6 Beginning Programming in Java Quotes: –I didn’t like computers and didn’t want to learn anything about them. My husband made me learn how to do e-mail a few years ago. I was nervous about coming to this workshop. I thought it would be boring, anti-social, and too much math. But, I am having fun! –This is the best (non college credit) workshop I have ever taken.

This is the title of my presentation, by John David 8 Robot Lending Library I have mostly girls (20) in each technology class. They were excited about using the robotic kits, and did an excellent job programming them. My boys (7) were outstanding as well. I only had one mixed group (boys and girls). Overall, they worked well together. One girl said she hated computers in computer applications, but loved working with the robots in our programming class. She built a robot for the Technology Fair and won and now wants a career in robotics.
