1.  Please submit summer reading  Write two messages you learned from the epic poem Beowulf.  Be sure to provide evidence from the poem itself that support what you have stated.

2.  Evaluate archetypes in Beowulf  Compare and contrast an archetypal character from Beowulf to a character in modern literature  Generate a soundtrack for one theme from Beowulf.

3.  Complete the Tale of the Tape Project  Once you have finished the project, begin thinking about one theme from Beowulf.  Search for songs that are applicable to that theme.  Create a soundtrack of a minimum of five (5) school appropriate songs that relate to the theme you selected.
