Computerized Tomography(CT Scan)-A method of examining body organs by scanning them with X rays and using a computer to construct a series of cross- sectional scans along a single axis. Hospitals Clinics Doctor’s offices

Why do we use CT Scans? Higher resolution images= stronger diagnoses Can provide more information about the disease Shows if your are responding to treatment

How are CT scans used? Patient lies on table Go through the center You can experience large whirling sounds The contrast agent or dye is injected or swallowed before the CT scan ends
