3. Objectives Successfully model the steady state process of the regenerator to determine the efficiency of the new design and material Investigate the complicated heat transfer between fluid and material to produce an effective resistance on a per plate basis

4. Methodology Develop a 2-D transient MATLAB model to predict the heat transfer flow path through the plate. Use this specific model to generalize each plate and fold the results into a larger transient model following the fluid and regenerator temperature nodes through each blow process over time.
