When a report is prepared considering these trends in that subject or field is called trend report. e.g. Current trends in library and information science are Automation, Digitization, Library consortia, Meta data, Data mining etc.

10. PROGRESS REPORT PROGRESS REPORT : Progress report shows the different stages of development of a subject. Progress report deals with the initial stages of development of a subject to the latest development in that particular subject.
