Objective This is the MOST IMPORTANT part! It is a 1 sentence explanation of the type of job or career you are seeking ▫Example: To obtain an entry-level job in the management of a food service provider To obtain work experience at a secondary school in the field of Special Education that will utilize my skills and experiences to further the goals of school systems while contributing to my personal and professional development

Education Includes high school and/or college ▫Location ▫Dates Attended

Work Experience List in chronological order Job Title/Position Location Dates Worked At least 1 description of what job you performed ▫Use action verbs (on list) Can include volunteer work

Activities Shows you are involved in school or community activities List specific activities you participated in ▫Sports Team ▫Clubs ▫Boy Scouts

References Usually don’t need on a resume, but good to have Will need 3 references when applying for a job Do NOT put family members Teacher, Former Employer, Neighbor, Coach, Pastor Addresses and Phone Numbers How long you’ve known them
