Earth’s Moon by Lisa Marie Perkins Thanks extended to Quince and Teacher Alana for their patient teaching me on the use of PowerPoint.

Earth’s moon is the 5th largest moon in the Solar System. It is the largest natural moon relative to the size of its planet, Earth. F F The moon’s rotation is ‘insynch” with Earth’s rotation …meaning the same ‘face’ of the moon is always ‘facing’ Earth! Really! The moon takes 27 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes, 11.6 seconds to go around Earth.

The man in the moon isn’t a man after all…. FThe moon reflects the light of the sun. If the Sun wasn’t there, we wouldn’t be able to see the Moon. FPeople on Earth always see the same side of the moon. We can never see the ‘back’ of the moon. FThe moon reflects the light of the sun. If the Sun wasn’t there, we wouldn’t be able to see the Moon.
