Note-Taking Skills Write only on one side of the paper.
Use a 3-ring binder so that you can keep your notes organized. Create a lost signal to use whenever you get lost taking notes.

Note-Taking Skills Make sure your notes are labeled and your pages are numbered. Put your name on each page. Use standard abbreviations. listen for introductory, concluding, and transitional words and phrases.

Note-Taking Skills Leave space between your notes.
Use words and phrases, instead of complete sentences, if possible. Copy diagrams, equations, dates, definitions, and illustrations word-for-word.
