3 Project Timeline  Project initiated 1997 Safety Pavement Village Infrastructure  Design approved 2006.

4 Project Timeline  Bid in January 2009.  Construction began Spring 2009. Water and sewer lines from Pleasant Street to Prince Street. Drainage improvements starting at Pelton Street through neighborhood south of Broadway. Reconstructed pavement west of Pleasant Street. Spring Street drainage improvements.

5 What’s Going On: 2010 Season  Continue water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvements to West Broadway. Including additional Village Project to install sanitary sewer connections to Pelton Street.  Continue full depth pavement reconstruction.

6 Pavement Reconstruction  NYSDOT will: Keep driveways open. Provide notification.  Please contact Engineer-in-Charge with any problems or issues.

8 What’s Going On: 2010 Season  Install stamped concrete median.  Install foundations for decorative sidewalk lighting. Partnership between Village, Congressman Hinchey, Sullivan Renaissance, and NYSDOT.

9 What’s Next: 2011 Season  Originally anticipated to be two-season project, but delayed due to changes during construction.  Spring-Summer 2011: Finish pavement. Install curbs. Install new sidewalks Plant trees and other landscaping elements.

10 What’s Next: 2011 Season  NYSDOT intends to replace all trees removed during construction.

11 What’s Next: 2011 Season  Planned Landscaping includes: Replacing trees removed during construction. Installing low-growing juniper shrubs to prevent weed growth in the planting beds. One year of maintenance provided by landscape contractor. Traffic control plan.  A plan the community can build on.
