10. Political Spectrum The imaginary line stretching from liberal (left wing) to conservative (right wing) along which political views can be placed.

11. Mass media All forms of communication including radio, TV, newspapers, books, magazines, Internet, recordings, movies, etc…

12. Editorial In a newspaper, a short essay that gives the newspaper publisher’s or editor’s view of a public issue. Focuses public attention on an important issue Gets public officials to act

13. Op-ed Commentary essays run in a newspaper, (opposite the editorial page). They may be submitted by anyone (readers, political leaders, experts.)

14. Forum An assembly, meeting place for discussion of questions of public interest.
