Class Non-negotiables: Adhere to the policies and procedures discussed in class Every student has the right to learn and the teachers have the right to teach. BUC Pride! Entering the class Students are expected to enter the class and be in their seats BEFORE the bell rings. Once in your seat, Bring out the necessary materials for class Set out your homework from the night before Record the days agenda and objective, and begin the warm up activity in your notebooks.

Homework Homework will be assigned on a regular basis Students will record their homework on a homework log that the teacher will provide The teacher will check homework the day after it is assigned, and will stamp your homework log for credit Homework logs will be collected, as well as some assignments. It is the students’ responsibility to keep track of their assignments and homework logs. Homework assignments will be worked out IN PENCIL. However, students will write their name (first and last) date, and period number in the top right hand corner using A BLACK INK PEN. Failure to do so will result in loss of points on homework grade for that assignment.

Leaving during class Please make time to use the bathroom during passing periods, snack/lunch, or before/after school. In general, students are not allowed to leave class for any reason during the first 5 minutes after the bell has rung or during the last 5 minutes of class. Students must ALWAYS have a pass while outside of the classroom during class time.

Cell Phones Please refer to the schools website or your P.R.I.D.E. handbook for the full school policy regarding cell phones Cell phone usage in class is up to the teacher. When cell phones are allowed during class, students are expected to use the phones appropriately, and for INSTRUCTIONAL USE. Failure to comply with cell phone policy will have the following consequences: 1 st offense: Cell phone will be confiscated until the end of the period. 2 nd offense: Cell phone will be confiscated until the end of the day. 3 rd offense: Cell phone will be sent to the office for parent/guardian pick up.

End of Class Dismissal is done by the teacher, not the bell. Unless directed by the teacher, do NOT pack up before being dismissed.
