4. FLUENCY  You will have 5 minutes to complete as many problems as you can.  You will be adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators.  Whoever completes the most correctly will get a treat! DO YOUR BEST

5. APPLICATION PROBLEM  To make punch for the class party, Ms. Danson mixed 1 1/3 cups orange juice, ¾ cup apple juice, 2/3 cup cranberry juice, and ¾ cup lemon-lime soda. Mixed together, how many cups of punch does the recipe make?  Extension: Each student drinks 1 cup. How many recipes does Ms. Danson need to serve her 20 students?

If it is the same, you need to be able to tell me how!  Whole group- We’ll spend about 10 minutes discussing this task and what different way we can get the same answer.
