Conditional probability is the probability of an event occurring, given that another event has already occurred. Go to page 121 for examples of conditional probability.

Independent and Dependent Events Two events are independent if the occurrence of one of the events does not affect the probability of the other event. Events that are not independent are dependent. Go to page 122 for examples of independent and dependent events.

Multiplication Rule The probability that events A and B will occur in sequence is P (A and B). -P(A) * P (B) Go to page 123 for examples of the multiplication rule.
