3. Program of the course To analyze many issues at a microeconomic level, mixing industrial and international economics To utilize a (relatively) non academic, i.e. practical approach 3

4. The course has 7 parts 1. Textbook industrial economics 2. Multinational and global value chains 3. National microeconomic (= industrial) policies 4. Energy and environmental market 5. Transnational organizations 6. Lectures by specialized speakers (Goldstein, Masina, Cordes, maybe Lupi) 7. Presentations by the students (around 8 groups) 4

8. The examination The mark (out of thirty) will be the sum of two parts: A paper written on the day of the examination. Students will meet four questions.
