Embargo Act (1807) Frustrated by British impressment and harassment at sea of Americans, the US prohibited trade with all foreign nations. However, this hurt American merchants.

The Battle of Tippecanoe Shawnee chief Tecumseh didn’t think that Indians should sell their land to the whites. William Harrison provoked an attack and destroyed Tecumseh’s Indian Confederation.
