2. 1. Students will watch the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas, after the movie they will be asked to make a of list the process they think it takes to make a claymation.

3. 2. The teacher will then list the process it takes to make a claymation and will show a short behind the scenes video of how it is done

4. 3. The class will be split up into groups of 5 and will assign a director, set designer, story writer, photographer and character maker. The group will discuss a story line together, a title, characters and setting. 4. The set designer will create a background using paint, cardboard and paper, the character maker will make the characters out of clay, the photographer will take pictures of character movement with a digital camera, the write will create a script based on the storyline and the director will oversee the movies progress and transition.

5. 5. Once all the characters and the set has been made, the photographer will upload the pictures taken of the characters movements onto the computer and will organize them on "movie maker" 6. Students will record characters voices and music and will insert them into the movie. 7. The director will edit the movie and make sure the beginning, middle and end is clear and that the transitions are clear.

6. 8. The group will orally explain to the class the steps they took to make a claymation, any difficulties they came upon, how they over came those difficulties and any thing ways they learned how to make the process smoother or better. (ex: when you sketch out the storyline it makes it easier for the photographer to take the right pictures or to have more variety the set was double sided and flipped to have night and day) 9. The group will introduce their movie to the class
