BMVIT - Shaping the Future Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology Angertalbrücke (New Bridge) Start of construction works: Sept. 2006 Oct. 2008: Construction works suspended for legal reasons (newly required environmental impact assessment - „Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfung“). Completion of works expected in 2010. Construction cost: 18,5 Mio. € SectionTypeStatusConstruction Cost Kolbnitz – Mühldorf Upgrade (Doubletrack) Completed 2006 49,7 Mio. € Mühldorf – Pusarnitz Upgrade (Doubletrack) Completed 2009 48,7 Mio. € The 80 km long „Tauernbahn“ from Schwarzach-St.Veit to Spital-Millstättersee is the transport backbone for cross alpine transit. With the completion of the Kolbnitz-Pusarnitz section in 2009 a total of 85% (69 of 80 km) of the „Tauernbahn“ is now in double track configuration. Salzburg State border AT / SLO Angertalbrücke Kolbnitz - Pusarnitz Kolbnitz – Pusarnitz (Doubletrack configuration) Start of construction works: 2002 Tauern-Axis Rosenbach (Remodelling of Station, Removal of low speed sections) Start of construction works: March 2009 Completion of works expected for Dec. 2010. Construction cost: 11,9 Mio. € Rosenbach (Station)
