6 Stevie Wonder Stevland Hardaway Morris, known best by his stage name, Stevie Wonder, was born May 19th, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. He has been blind since shortly after birth because he was born premature. He signed with Motown’s Tamla label at age 11. To date, he has recorded over 30 U.S. top 10 hits, received 22 Grammy awards, and sold over 100 million records and singles. He has received more Grammys than any other male solo artist, and is one of the 60 top-selling music artists.
