Game Designs Hannah Blackburn-Jones

Intro This power point has 3 brief design ideas for games, all different, and dealing with helping any area of education for a specific age of students. Later, I will compare pros and cons on my designs.

Design 1 All games will have a start or main page, which will have start buttons, and lead them to different pages, such as; play game, & instructions. This game will immediately have a start button that leads you to the instructions

Instructions would come up telling you how to play the game, and the purpose of it An example of the problem, and how it would appear to the player When answers are right, a correct sign would appear, if its not correct, then it would say “ Try Again”

What is it going to have? 28-30 slides in total Color Buttons Animations/Pop ups

Summary Design 1 for my game is about Math and multiplication, helping to quiz students on the times table from numbers 1 to 10. Questions will get harder as the student plays on, and there will be 25 questions, with results showing you score and questions answered correctly/incorrectly at the end of the game.

Pros & Cons +- Great for mathBe for younger kids Helps students remember times table Could get boring

Design 2 Opening window with options to click on. An example of what would be in the game, and what it would look like

What is it going to have? 23-25 slides in total Text and symbols Color to make it eye-catching

Summary This game is specified and aimed towards the music learning area of education. It helps again, quiz students, but on the notes of music, that way they should depend on themselves to know the correct answer, and as they play the game more frequently, they will better memorize the notes, and play and read music in the future without any problems

Pros & Cons +- Good for memoryGet boring easily Helps improve two parts; playing & reading Levels can’t really get harder

Design 3

What will it have? Lots of color Text/information Buttons New windows/pages Moving images(*maybe) 20-25 slides in total? Different levels

Summary English Grammar is a game that has mini games on different areas of common, and not common grammar areas looked at in English, all combined into one game. A few slides will focus on one part of a type of grammar, then it would go to the next stage (or slide) in which students will play and be challenged in another area of English grammar.

Pros & Cons +- Learn different things in one game Could be hard to make? Wouldn’t be as boring since things keep changing and switching up Hard to keep score of things incorrect, correct, so on.
