Parents: While you are waiting, you can start to fill out the paperwork provided on top of the yellow folder (and inside) Students: Please find your name tag on the back table and put inside your desk. Also, decorate a birthday cupcake to be hung in the room! Make sure your name is on the back, just coloring will do!

5 Homework will be assigned every night (Monday through Thursday) ~30 minutes (Math, Reading Log, Spelling) Weekly Reading Logs (Due every Friday) Spelling Menu I expect homework to be taken seriously and completed each night, in order to receive full credit. Homeworkopoly If homework is incomplete— Child makes decision to complete during recess and/or take home to complete as extra homework A note will be sent home to parent/guardian with the assignment explaining the choice the student has made.

13 Parents… In coming weeks keep your eyes peeled for a letter to be sent home regarding classroom volunteers. Volunteers can help with: Cutting, gluing, assembling class projects/activities Working with small groups of students as a form of enrichment Completing small tasks (teacher helper) If interested, fill out form and return with your student A schedule can be worked out to suit your needs
