2 Importance People living with Diabetes need to follow a strict diet plan Diabetes disrupts blood sugar and insulin levels, which must be kept in normal levels by medication and appropriate diet Following your diabetic diet can be a life or death situation A proper diabetic diet, along with exercise can keep blood sugar and insulin levels at a regular level, along with avoiding a hyperglycemia and providing some weight loss

3 Good and Bad Bad foods Raw sugar, candy, dried raisins, pancakes and syrups, fruit juice, foods high in fat and grease content, whole milk, pastries, white bread, simple carbohydrates Almost all processed foods Good foods Whole grain carbohydrates, fresh or frozen vegetables/fruit, grilled/baked/steamed/boiled vegetables and meat

4 Diabetic menus Diabetes is more and more common every year Restaurants are offering healthier options as a whole Most restaurants will be able to let a Diabetic know their options with their menu Few specialty locations exist, like Diabetic bakeries and delis From a business perspective, offering Diabetic healthy options is good, because you will not lose customers Possible disadvantages to working with a Diabetic Menu is needing a sugar free kitchen and possible higher food cost for healthy items YES, I HAVE 30 DOLLARS
