Some programming skill is required but you only need to know a small subset.
Visual Basic C#
Closer to traditional programming languages.
Can be less verbose.
Most manager scripts and next gen APSIM
are written in C#.
Syntax is closer to English.
Easier to learn.
Previous exposure through Excel.
Both run at the same speed.
Both are capable of the doing the same things.
Overall the choice is up to you.
