LIGO- G020001-00-Z EAC Meeting (Jan 2003)LSC Member Institution (UT Brownsville) 12 Increasing the participation of students Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU): Proposal for a REU supplement from NSF to support 10 to 20 undergraduate students doing grid-related research during semesters or summer at several GriPhyN/iVDGL Institutions. In order to achieve this goal we need to know: »Mentors »Research Projects »Selection Procedures »Budgets Interested mentoring Institutions: 1.Florida U (Paul Avery), 2.Indiana U (James Williams, John Hicks), 3.Fermilab (Ruth Pordes), 4.Chicago (Ian Foster, Tom Garritano), 5.UW Milwaukee (Bruce Allen), 6.UT Brownsville (Manuela Campanelli). At least 2 students per Institution! Spring 2003 goal! E/O Collaboration Effort!
