STM is a Google Apps for Education school. All teachers, staff and students have a Google account on the STM domain.

2. LAUNCHING GOOGLE CHROME
The tablets have several different browsers:

Mozilla Firefox
For consistency during training, please use Google Chrome.

3. The first time you launch Chrome it will ask you to LOG IN.
Let them know that the beginning of their was their computer username

4. Make Chrome Your Default Browser
Have students bring up the school Gmail domain and pin the tab.
Click Set as Default and select chrome as the file type

5. Accessing Email In other browsers, you can access your email

6. Select Create a new profile and follow the directions

7. Gmail in Chrome
All Google apps, including Gmail, can be found at the top-right side of the Google window in the Apps panel.

Minimum of 8 characters
At least 1 capital
At least 1 number
Strongly suggest they make it the same password as their STM network password. Explain to them that their NETWORK PASSWORD is the way they log into their computer. They will be using a lot of passwords this year so they need to minimize the number of passwords they create.
Sandbox:
Have them go to the Important Info file in their network folder and update their password there.
Hint: May want to keep it the same as tablet login password.

10. Add Password to Cheatsheet
Add your Gmail login information to your sticky note.
