Homophone- a word pronounced the same as another word but differing in meaning, whether spelled the same way or not. Example: heir and air

Activity 1 Select homophones from the list you are given.
With your partner create a skit using the words correctly in a sentence and showing what each word means. You should hold up a sign to show the spelling of each word when you use it. Example: Skit 1- Two students walking toward each other and one says, “Hi, I am so happy to meet you today. Skit 2- Two people are at the grocery store discussing buying meat to cook for dinner…”Hmmm. Should we buy steak, pork chops, or chicken.”

Activity 2 Draw two cartoons to illustrate the homophones used in your skit. Each cartoon should have correctly spelled homophones and at least 1 sentence with the homophone used correctly. The board of education met yesterday. I am bored with education.
