WEEK 8 YOUR ARE HALF WAY Through the 2nd semester The importance of Drawing Discuss the next 8 weeks Charater design wk 8 1st 3 week project wk 9, (10in print),11, 12 – Recipe for life: Food, Family and Society, – Bring objects to draw the ingredients, – Think about who will make or eat the food – Think about what kind of setting will show the cultural context 2nd 3 week project wk 13,14 and 15 (With visitor) – Use of text and language – Tongue-twister, sound or tone poems using words or letters, short 2 line poems

Aims of this week's lesson: Drawing practice and personal style development To develop 3 types of Character design approaches 1. From life(each other)/nature drawing (fast drawing in watercolours) 2. From imagination - photographic mistakes (close/ups blurs, printed sheets) 3. Montage 3 exercises - consider all the different techniques you have been learning. Which suits each character best?

WEEK 7 Professora Sandra Ramos You will continue working on developing your own styles. Bring to class 1. an example of an illustration, animation or fineart style that you adminre. No computer generated imagery, only hand made work. 2. A small newspaper article to illustrate. Or select one of the exaples below: A) Washoe, a female chimpanzee believed to be the first non-human to acquire human language, died Oct. 30, 2007 of natural causes. B) Sunday afternoon, a helicopter responding to an emergency in Athens was stranded in the middle of the road intersection, after a persistent warning light persuaded the pilot that it shouldn't take off.
