1 Lesson Plan for SD 1.2, Part 2 (50 minutes): Target: I can estimate angles based on benchmark angles. 5 minutesWarm-up (Fractions and Rotations) 10 minutesBenchmark Angles Graphic Organizer Fold, write in benchmark angles for 90, 45, and 30 Include right, straight, acute, obtuse 20 minutesClasswork Problems A-C Note: Today is about estimating and being reasonable with sketches (no protactors or rulers are needed yet). 10 minutesMake sure answers are accurate for classwork problems. 5 minutesReminders: Homework is in textbook (correct with key online). MathXL – unit readiness is assigned, then follow study plan. Extra Time? Challenge puzzles on angles.

2 Quick Start Expectations 1.Fill in Learning Log: SD Pg. 27-33 #10, 11, 49-52 Challenge: 17 Correct online tonight! 3. Review your test. Fill out both sides of your Unit Test Cover Sheet. Ready for review. 4. Work on Warm-up (notebook): 1.Can you make a triangle with two right angles? Give an example. 2.Can you make a triangle with two obtuse angles? Give an example. 3.Can you make a triangle with two acute angles? Give an example. 4.Can you make an equilateral scalene triangle? Give an example. 5.Can you make a right, isosceles triangle? Give an example.

3 1.Can you make a triangle with two right angles? Give an example. 2.Can you make a triangle with two obtuse angles? Give an example. 3.Can you make a triangle with two acute angles? Give an example. 4.Can you make an equilateral scalene triangle? Give an example. 5.Can you make a right, isosceles triangle? Give an example. No! Yes!
