What is Line Spacing? The vertical distance between lines of text. Our default line spacing is always single line spacing. The 3 most common line spacings are single, 1.5, and double.

What is Single Spacing? The default. The lines are back to back or one right under the other one. There is no blank line after each line. Scientists at work in several countries have discovered evidence that each half of the brain may support a different emotional state. The left half may be the seat of positive attitudes. The right half may harbor negative attitudes. Example

What is 1.5 Spacing? Doesn’t mean that there is 1.5 lines between each line. It means that the lines have about ½ the size of a line between each line. There will be ½ of a blank line. Example Scientists at work in several countries have discovered evidence that each half of the brain may support a different emotional state. The left half may be the seat of positive attitudes. The right half may harbor negative attitudes.

What is Double Spacing? Example Doesn’t mean that there is 2 lines between each line. It means that the lines have 1 line between each line. There will be 1 blank line. Scientists at work in several countries have discovered evidence that each half of the brain may support a different emotional state. The left half may be the seat of positive attitudes. The right half may harbor negative attitudes.

Which line spacing is used? If you have to struggle to keep a positive attitude, and if it seems like an uphill fight to stay positive, that may be good. This struggle may show that both halves of your brain are at work trying to influence your emotions. Double Line Spacing
